LASER INSPECTION TECHNOLOGY INSTALLED AT SHAPE

Shape Machining Ltd has recently commissioned a FARO Edge coordinate measuring arm with laser inspection at their Witney facility. This ability to laser scan the entire 3D surface, of even the most complex patterns, will give all Shape’s customers the confidence that the patterns they deliver will always meet their quality requirements.

Shape Machining has recently increased the manufacturing capacity of the business and now with the introduction advanced laser scanning technology the company is at the cutting edge of sub-contract composite tooling manufacture.

Managing Director, Peter McCool commented “The introduction of FARO laser scanning technology into the business demonstrates that we have the commitment to quality that our customers expect.”

The introduction of this technology is part of the ongoing expansion to ensure that Shape can continue to match their customer’s quality expectations.

“The ability to rapidly scan the surface of all the parts we machine will help maintain the quality and standard of our machining but will also increase the speed of our inspection process adding value for our customers.” added McCool.
