CNC Operator - Day Shift

SHAPE is looking for an enthusiastic CNC machine operator to join our growing team. You will enjoy working in a modern pattern shop environment, to tight deadlines and working to exacting customer requirements.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Operating CMS Antares 5-axis milling machines with Fanuc controllers
  • Operating Dugard 1000 3-axis machines with Fanuc controllers
  • Blocking up and preparing jobs for machining
  • Working to a delivery schedule agreed with the Operation Manager

ABOUT YOU

We expect you to have:

  • Experience in operating CNC machines with Fanuc controllers
  • Excellent communication and team working skills
  • A good ability to use your initiative and respond quickly to problems
  • Ability to work well within a small team
  • Eligibility to work in the UK

We’re impressed if you have:

  • Working knowledge of CATIA V5 CNC programming software
  • Experience of pattern making in an Automotive / Mechanical / Motorsport environment or similar

Senior Design Engineer

SHAPE is looking for an ambitious Senior Design Engineer to work alongside our experienced engineering team. The chosen candidate will be responsible for leading engineering projects, project management, liaising closely with customers and our programmers to deliver projects to specification, on time. At Shape we see a diverse range of engineering projects and we are looking for an experienced and dedicated engineer to join our team.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Take full ownership of engineering projects from concept to delivery
  • Develop and grow the current engineering team
  • Project manage engineering projects working closely with operations
  • Liaise with customers/suppliers
  • Actively network with customers to introduce new engineering projects
  • Support manufacture and continual improvement
  • Support commercial based activities when required

ABOUT YOU

We expect you to have:

  • A solid working knowledge of Catia V5
  • Good experience of composites design practice/methodologies
  • A good ability to use your initiative and respond quickly to problems
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • A full UK driving license

REWARDS

Annual salary is paid monthly, the rate is dependent upon experience. SHAPE offers flexible working arrangements to suit individual staff.
