INCREASED MANUFACTURING CAPACITY AT SHAPE

Shape Machining Ltd has successfully installed another CMS Antares 5-axis machine in their Oxfordshire facility. This additional capacity comes at a time of continued growth for the young multi-axis machining company.

Now in its third year, Shape has three multi-axis CNC machines for machining a wide variety of non-metallic materials for the composites industry. Shape specialises in machining epoxy tooling block patterns, Rohacell foams and the trimming of carbon fibre parts for the automotive, motorsport and aerospace industry.

Managing Director, Peter McCool commented “We are exceedingly pleased with the accuracy and speed of our first CMS Antares machine. So when it came to adding further capacity it was an easy decision to stay with this winning formula. Our customers appreciate that we have invested in industry leading technology from a proven and reliable manufacturer.”

The additional 5-axis machine will enable Shape to offer their customers more capacity and a faster turnaround.

From the outset Shape has been determined to invest only in the highest standard of manufacturing equipment and technology. This increase in manufacturing capacity is in line with Shape’s objective of being a technology led manufacturing company.
