Carbon fibre and CFRP machining

We trim and machine cured carbon fibre components and inserts on machines set up for the job, with dry extraction throughout the shop.

Machining cured carbon is a different job to machining board. The dust is abrasive, conductive and a health risk, and the material will delaminate if you approach it wrong. We run dedicated dry extraction and have machines specifically converted to run carbon, including our Dugard Eagle 1000. That is also why we can machine carbon and foam in the same building without cross-contamination.
