SHAPE Machining Ltd has been present at the Formula Student UK event once again this year, sponsoring four different teams in different classes.
Adrian Mortlock, Managing Director of SHAPE Machining Ltd said “We are very proud of our long-term association with Formula Student, as we firmly believe in the importance of the event in the professional development of its participants.”
Formula Student teams are required to design and manufacture a racing car to a set of strict regulations, exposing students to a host of real-world engineering problems along the way. The University teams then compete against each other at the Silverstone event.
Mortlock added “SHAPE supports the sponsored teams through CNC machined Epoxy and PU patterns as well as Rohacell foams and provides guidance to students on design techniques to aid manufacture and reduce cost”.
